Valley Presbyterian Christian School - Cheer Program

Valley Presbyterian Christian School has a truly amazing cheerleading program! Head coach, Heather Hager, is an experienced former cheerleader and has been coaching the squad since 2009. Since then, the V.P.S. Power Squad (as they are referred to), has won many awards competing at the “Miss Dance Drill Team” competition each year at Magic Mountain. They are busy year round with cheer camp in the summer, competition in the spring, and cheering at football/basketball games in between. In addition, girls practice twice a week and perform on designated school spirit days. Girls learn a variety of cheers, stunts, and basic tumbling. They also host a cheer clinic in May offered to all girls in kindergarten through 3rd grade.

In order to participate in the Valley Presbyterian Christian School Cheer program, athletes are required to try-out. All students in 3rd and up are eligible to try out for a position on the team. If chosen, students must maintain a satisfactory grade point average and uphold a Christian attitude, glorifying God both in and out of the classroom!
