Valley Presbyterian Christian School - Spiritual Life

Chapels

Chapels occur weekly and they are an integral part of life at Valley Presbyterian School. This is a time of coming together as a school family and worshiping our Lord Jesus Christ through singing and the reading and teaching of God’s word.

Chapels include guest speakers, Valley Presbyterian Church Pastors, Christian play-acting groups, Christian guest vocalists and groups, Christian magicians and ventriloquists and patriotic presentations.

Each classroom is responsible for hosting and presenting a chapel during the school year. Classes prepare skits, songs, recite Bible verses, recite poetry and perform dances all incorporated within the theme of a Biblical story or character trait.

Chapels offer students an opportunity to develop their public speaking and performing skills. Even our youngest students quickly become comfortable before an audience and spectators learn the value of what it means to be an engaged audience, to be polite and how to show appreciation for the performer’s hard work and preparation.

Chapels are a wonderful time of fellowship for students, teachers, parents, and staff. The purpose of every chapel at Valley Presbyterian School is to glorify God in worship!
